HSS Picnic at the Texas Gaushala

South Houston Vibhag Bala team organized a picnic at the Texas Gaushala on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 8:30 AM till 12:30 PM. The picnic was attended by 113 people including 44 kids from the South Houston Vibhag in HSS.

The activities started off with yoga and some exercises. Followed by outdoor games (khel), where everyone was split into groups of kids (balas), teenagers (kishores), adult men (swayamsevak), and adult women (sevikas). Some games were 5 pass, tug-of-war, Ram, Ravaan, and more.

Then there was cow cuddling, where volunteers helped people to brush and pet the cows. Next, cow feeding, where more volunteers passed out bowls of carrots and apples that could be fed to the cows.

Afterward, we had a very fun trivia game where everyone was split into five teams, with questions related to the Gaushala, Mahabharat, Ramayana, and Sangh.

Finally, we had a delicious lunch of aloo sabji, poori, raita, and mango milkshake. All in all, it was a very successful event.
