- 05The primary difference between cow cuddling and cow feeding is the focus of the interaction: cow cuddling is a therapeutic, sedentary activity centered on emotional connection and relaxation, while cow feeding is an active, interactive experience centered on bonding through feeding the cow. Cow cuddling involves hugging or sitting with cows to reduce stress, whereas feeding involves providing treats to encourage, socialize, and reward them. Cow Cuddling Purpose: Primarily for animal-assisted therapy to reduce stress and anxiety in humans. Activities: Resting against the cow, brushing, petting, and hugging. Atmosphere: Calm and quiet; often involves sitting on the ground with the cows. Key Feature: The warm, slow heartbeat of the cow (which has a higher body temperature than humans) helps to relax participants. Cow Feeding Purpose: To bond directly with the animals and provide an engaging, hands-on experience. Activities: Hand-feeding treats (apples, carrots). Atmosphere: Lively and interactive; the cows are often eager and active. Key Feature: It is a great way for children and adults to build trust and get comfortable with cows, often acting as a "meet and greet" before or after cuddling.

- 10You can adopt a cow by clicking on our cow adoption service. Click on https://www.texasgaushala.com/donate and click on Adopt a cow service. It takes $500 USD per month to adopt a cow. Once you are able to submit a form then please message us at info@texasgaushala.com and we will set up adoption pooja for you. Adopting a cow can be a meaningful and compassionate choice, especially if you're interested in supporting animal welfare or sustainable agriculture. However, it's essential to clarify what you mean by "adopting a cow," as there are different ways to interpret that phrase. Cow Adoption Programs: Texas Gaushala offer programs where you can symbolically adopt a cows. In such cases, you typically make a donation, and in return, you receive information about the specific cow you are supporting. This can include updates on the cow's well-being, pictures, and even visits to the Texas Gaushala. Sponsoring a cow often involves contributing to their ongoing care, including food, veterinary expenses, and a safe place to live. Texas Gaushala aimed at preserving specific breeds, promoting sustainable farming practices, or educating the public about the importance of ethical treatment of cows. Before deciding to adopt or sponsor a cow, it's a good idea to research that aligns with your values and ensures the well-being of the animals involved. Additionally, consider the long-term commitment, as adopting a cow, even symbolically, may involve ongoing financial support. If you're interested in physical interaction with cows, visiting Texas Gaushala or participating in volunteer programs can be a fulfilling way to connect with our cows and contribute to their welfare.
- 11Gau Grass (गौ ग्रास) is an ancient tradition mentioned in Hindu scriptures, where cows are fed before anyone in the family consumes food. Texas Gaushala offers this initiative through a subscription service for a dollar a day. Subscribers will have a Sankalpa performed for them, and the cows will be fed daily. At the end of the year, we will perform a Krishna-arpana of this seva, praying for the grace of Shri Gopala Krishna for the entire family. Subscribers can also feed the cows in person once a month. This support helps in future cow adoption and sustenance. We encourage you to motivate your friends and family to join this movement. Subscribe at https://www.texasgaushala.com/subscribe-now
