After four decades in Houston, Ushaji and her husband, Lakshmi Narayan ji, have transitioned from their professional careers to a life of service at the Texas Gaushala. Their spiritual harmony—Ushaji’s devotion to Lord Ram and Mehraji’s to Lord Shiva—is the heartbeat of the community. Whether they are chanting the Ramcharitmanas or leading music at Rudrabhisheka events, their presence brings a soulful, devotional energy to every gathering.

Longtime Houston residents, Anilji and Muktaji have been part of the local community for several decades. While Anilji has built a successful career as a prominent entrepreneur , his true passion lies in selfless service. For the past five years, he has been a steadfast supporter of the Gaushala, always ready to step in and contribute his time and heart to its mission.

Abhinav is an internationally experienced Data Scientist with over 20 years of experience as statistical data analysis expert for various industries such as pharmaceutical, finance and investment, banking and technology. In March 2017, after quitting his corporate journey in USA, he returned to his village in India and founded VedicTree Foundation, an NGO dedicated for educating the importance of cows for a sustainable living, motivating farmers for organic farming and setup institutes of social importance like cow breeding centers, schools in rural communities and sustainable health initiatives focused on nature based botanical therapeutics which all combined creates skill development and economic activities in villages Abhinav’s social entrepreneurship journey is continued in USA by supporting local communities in Houston area where he has been a founding member of a tax-exempt public charity called Texas Gaushala to setup an ecosystem to promote the regenerative agricultural concepts and holistic living.

Narinder, a dedicated Sangh Swayamsevak since childhood, harbors a lifelong dream of establishing a cow-based circular economy. Over the last four years, he has been a key partner at Texas Gaushala, actively working towards turning his dream into a reality. With a professional background spanning more than two decades in cloud architecture, Narinder is a problem-solving enthusiast, and he seamlessly incorporates this passion into his diverse hobbies, such as wood-working and cooking.

Purandhar is a Chartered Accountant with a unique passion for regenerative agriculture, holistic living, and Ayurveda. His professional expertise combines with his profound belief in sustainable practices and ancient wisdom to create a remarkable individual dedicated to improving lives and the planet.Purandhar's commitment to regenerative agriculture is driven by his belief in its potential to heal the environment while nourishing our bodies. He promotes Ayurveda as a means to prevent chronic illnesses and elevate overall well-being. His personal philosophy emphasizes gaining absolute knowledge, surrendering to the ultimate truth, selfless actions, and daily meditation for a holistic and healthy life. His engagement with Texas Gaushala reflects his vision of placing the cow at the center of holistic living. He envisions the cow as a source of nourishment for body, mind, and soul, and as a key driver of a sustainable economy, as prescribed in Indian Vedas.

A fashion designer originally from Rajasthan, India, Prathibha has always carried a deep love for all living beings. Her journey took a soulful turn when she and her husband, Abhinavji, moved from California to Houston. What began as a dream of having cows in her own backyard quickly blossomed into a lifelong mission. Starting with just three cows—whom she raised with the same devotion as her own children—Prathibha has watched her herd grow into a thriving sanctuary. Today, her boundless energy and selfless seva (service) remain the driving force behind her work, proving that compassion is the finest thread in the fabric of her life.

Communications Director
Nagaraj, an engineer originally hailing from Bengaluru, Karnataka, now resides in the Houston area with his wife and two sons. He is a staunch advocate of a holistic lifestyle in harmony with nature, firmly believing that the concepts of Sanatana Dharma hold the potential to improve the entire world. Drawing from his knowledge of Hindu scriptures, he underscores the indispensable role of cows in upholding the values of Sanatana Dharma and considers Gaushala an excellent platform for nurturing these ideals within a like-minded community.
He is deeply intrigued by the way ancient Indians thrived with cows as a central aspect of their existence. He firmly believes that it is now the right moment for us to uncover these hidden treasures and delve into the benefits that span the domains of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through harmonious coexistence with these wonderful animals.
Should you happen to see him at the Gaushala, Please say a Hello with a big smile. You may observe him caring for the plants, displaying affection to the cows, performing Gau puja for visitors, or just unwinding on a Khat (a traditional four-legged cot) while enjoying a pleasant conversation with fellow visitors and friends at the Gaushala.

Originally from Nashik, Maharashtra, I maintain a strong connection to my roots and values. I have a deep affection for caring for cows, which reflects my respect for nature and sustainability. I am inherently curious, continuously learning, and deeply interested in spirituality, ancient culture, and mythology, recognizing the enduring wisdom they offer for personal and professional growth
